Our design for Bina Osteria / Alimentari brings together the functions of a restaurant, café, and market under a single canopy. The project maintains two entrances from the street giving direct access to the restaurant and the market, with the café placed in between the two. Additionally there is an outdoor café area.

Bina is located at the base of an existing tower in downtown Boston where the spatial distribution of the structural columns varied widely, while the services of the tower above mechanical equipment, sprinkler system, drainage pipes, among other equipment, further complicated spatial organization. The narrow space and incongruous columns presented challenges, which were resolved thorough space planning to create a space that is both beautiful and efficiently functional.
